BED BUG CONTROL

Our Bed Bug Control & Treatment Services
Bed Bug treatments are our most extensive treatment. The first step is to identify the pest and make sure it is actually a Bed Bug and not a bug such as a carpet beetle that can sometimes cause bite-like reactions. If bed bugs are identified we will email you a prep list on how exactly to get your home ready for the treatment program.
The Sasquatch Pest Control technician will treat areas like bedframes, headboard, mattress seams, dressers, tables, chairs, and couches, behind outlets, and window and floor trim.
For items that cannot be treated with our standard chemicals, like books and other items, we will ask you to bag the items in black garbage bags and we will apply Nuvan strips to kill any pest in the bag and remove them two days later.
The treatment process requires a 6-8 hr vacate time from the home. And after the treatment, we will schedule a 30-day follow-up. With over 14 years of experience and state-of-the-art products/tools, Sasquatch Pest Control is well-equipped to help you get rid of bed bugs for good!

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY
About Bed Bugs in the Houston Area
Bed bugs are one of the most stressful pests a home or business can face, and they have made a dramatic comeback across the country — including throughout the Houston area. These small, reddish-brown insects feed on human blood, usually at night, and hide during the day in mattress seams, box springs, headboards, baseboards, and furniture, which makes them extremely hard to find and eliminate.
Bed bugs are not a sign of a dirty home — they are hitchhikers. They travel in on luggage, used furniture, clothing, and bags, and spread easily between rooms and units. A female can lay hundreds of eggs in her lifetime, so a few bed bugs can become a full infestation within weeks.
Bed bugs are notoriously difficult to eliminate with DIY methods, which often scatter the population and drive it deeper into hiding. Professional treatment that reaches every life stage — including eggs — is the only reliable way to get rid of them.
Signs of a Bed Bug Problem
Bed bugs are experts at hiding. Look carefully for:
- Small, itchy bites, often in a line or cluster, appearing overnight.
- Tiny reddish-brown or rust-colored stains on sheets and mattresses.
- Dark spots the size of a marker dot along mattress seams, box springs, and headboards.
- Shed skins, eggshells, or live bugs in mattress seams, furniture joints, and baseboard cracks.
- A sweet, musty odor in heavily infested rooms.
- Live bed bugs — flat, oval, apple-seed-sized — in seams and crevices.
Why Bed Bug Control Matters
Bed bugs are not known to transmit disease, but they take a serious toll in other ways. Their bites cause itching, allergic reactions, and secondary skin infections from scratching, and living with an infestation frequently causes anxiety, insomnia, and significant emotional stress.
Because they spread so easily and hide so well, bed bug infestations rarely resolve on their own and almost always get worse without professional treatment. Early, thorough intervention is far easier and less costly than a whole-home infestation.

How to Prevent Bed Bugs
Reduce your risk of bringing bed bugs home:
- Inspect hotel rooms — check mattress seams and headboards — and keep luggage off the bed and floor.
- Never bring used mattresses or upholstered furniture inside without a careful inspection.
- Wash and hot-dry clothing after traveling.
- Reduce clutter in bedrooms, which gives bed bugs fewer places to hide.
- Use a protective encasement on mattresses and box springs.
- Act at the very first sign — early infestations are far easier to eliminate.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bed Bugs
Does having bed bugs mean my home is dirty?
No. Bed bugs are hitchhikers that travel in on luggage, used furniture, and bags. They infest spotless homes, hotels, and offices alike — cleanliness has nothing to do with it.
Can I get rid of bed bugs myself?
It is very difficult. DIY sprays kill some bugs but miss the eggs and drive the rest deeper into hiding, often making it worse. Professional treatment that reaches every life stage is the reliable solution.
How do I know if I have bed bugs?
Look for itchy bites in lines or clusters, rust-colored stains and dark spots on bedding, shed skins in mattress seams, and live apple-seed-sized bugs. A professional inspection from Sasquatch Pest Control confirms it.
Are bed bugs dangerous?
They do not spread disease, but their bites cause itching, allergic reactions, and secondary infections, and infestations cause real anxiety and lost sleep.
How long does bed bug treatment take?
It depends on the method and severity. Most infestations require a follow-up visit to ensure every life stage, including eggs, has been eliminated.
How much does bed bug treatment cost?
It varies with the size of the home and severity. Be wary of very low prices, which rarely work. Sasquatch Pest Control provides a free inspection and honest, up-front pricing.
